A nature club has been constituted by the students, teachers and well wishers of the colleqe for environmental upgradation of the neighboring areas of the college. The club organizes am monitors the various programmes for the development of the atmosphere by observing Work Environment Day, Eco-Biotic Camps and Rural Development etc.
Games, Sports and Gymnasium
The college provides facilities to the students for games like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, carom, chess, table tennis, basketball, handball and other field events. Several groups of students have shown proficiency in various competitions organized by GU and other educational institutions.
The college magazine DISPURIAN (earlier known as ARUN) is the medium for development of literacy and othe r potentialities of students. It publishes articles and creative writing contributed by students and teachers as well as review of the educational, cultural, social and sports activity of the college. The magazine is published by a student editor under the guidance and supervision of an Editorial Board.
Dispur College News Bulletin
Dispur College Teachers Council has published a bilingual quarterly news bulletin from the session 2002-2003. The bulletin reveals the developmental activities of Dispur College community especially in the field of management, academic development, infrastructure, curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Anti Ragging Cell:
The college follows a policy of zero tolerance regarding substance abuse and ragging. Any students found in possession of banned substances (ghutka, drugs, alcohol) and indulging in ragging will be expelled. There is a six member committee to monitor various anti ragging measures.
The Dispur College Union is the general body of the students of the college. Its membership is compulsory for every student in the college. The office bearers of the Union are elected annually through the method of direct voting. The union endeavors to foster and promote fraternity, mutual understanding and a sense of responsibility among the students. The student union organizes games and sports, debates, cultural and social activities among the students in the College Week organized annually and participates in inter college activities.
NCC UNIT OF DISPUR COLLEGE:
The College is under the 48th Assam Naval Unit where any student can join for their personality development, development of leadership and can attend various national level camps and competitions including Republic Day camp at New Delhi. Three to four cadets have been selected for the Republic Day camp every year from our unit. A regular student cadet can get merit scholarship (55% and above) of Rs 6000/- to Rs 12000/- from various institutions like SAHARA. Cadet can apply for Bir Chilarai Award which includes a cash reward of Rs. 10,000 and certificat. There is also provision for cash award of Rs. 50,000 under Cadet Welfare Society(CWS). In addition to that there is another prestigious award known as Lt. Coln. M. Chowdhary award of Rs. 25,000. In the first year, cadets are eligible to attend ‘B’ certificate and in the second year after attending two national camps, cadets are eligible for ‘C’ certificate exam. ‘C’ certificate holders can get appointment in reserve category in army, navy, air force and other para-military forces without written examination of UPSC. Our cadets have already earned accolades in national level camps. There is no admission fee for joining NCC.

NSS UNIT OF DISPUR COLLEGE:
The NSS (National Service scheme) is a scheme of Govt. of India under Ministry of Youth Affairs. The overall aim of National Service scheme is to give an extension dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institution. RED RIBBON CLUB:
Red Ribbon Club (RRC) is a sister organization of NCC unit of Dispur college. The main objective of RRC is to create awareness about AIDs and HIV and motivate the students for voluntary blood donation by organizing seminars, street plays, quiz and other competitions. We have organized voluntary blood donation camp each year during the month of October and November. Students can enroll their name freely. Our motto is “Donate Blood and Save Life”.
